is an overview of each section of the Creciendo Juntos –
Growing Together web site. Participation is opened to all who
wish to provide a new resource, publish articles or reports, or
use the web site in other ways to help the Latino population and
the service providers working with them.

LATINOS IN OUR AREA: contains a monthly profile highlighting a local Latino personality or community; media reports, sociological and economic data and references about Latinos in the Charlottesville area; and links to statistics about Latinos in the state of Virginia.
SOUTHWOOD: the definitive webpage for everything related to the trailer park including media reports, statistics, service providers working there and the Latino focused projects they are offering, and other information.

LOCAL LATINO FOCUSED INITIATIVES: a directory of Latino focused initiatives in Charlottesville and surrounding areas that are staffed by bilingual (Spanish-English) workers.
HEALTH PROMOTERS: webpage for the CJ Health Promoter Work Group that includes information about its activities, as well as many resources related to the health promoter model and the training of health promoters and links to Spanish language health related materials.

COMMUNITY ANNOUNCEMENTS: online kiosk where anyone can post announcements about local activities, resources and services, and jobs and volunteer opportunities oriented to Latinos and the service providers working with them.
IMMIGRATION RIGHTS
Access to Federally Funded Services: resources on federal laws and regulations protecting individuals with a limited English proficiency (LEP) including the sections Laws and Regulations, Spanish Language Materials, Filing a Complaint, LEP Policy Planning Tools for Police Departments, and Non-Government Tools to Help Agencies Comply with Language Rights
Immigration Rights: resources include the sections Fact Sheets and Brochures, Stay Informed, Reporting a Problem/Local Consultations, Detentions: Local Policy, Latino Parents & Children, and Other Information.
LEP PROBLEMS, PROPOSALS AND ACTIONS IN VIRGINIA: This page is currently under construction. Some of its previous content was moved to other parts of the CJ website and the rest will also be relocated. At the present, the page offers resources relating to local cultural sensitivity trainings and identifies community initiatives like Creciendo Juntos (CJ) which serve the Latino population in other parts of Virginia.
IMMIGRATION MYTHS AND FACTS: summaries and links to national studies, statistics, films and other resources related to the U.S. Latino population.
RESOURCE GUIDES: links to resource guides (in English and Spanish) for helping the local Latino population.
PRINTED MATERIALS IN SPANISH: This section has been discontinued except for Spanish la nguage materials to acquaint immigrants to living in Charlottesville or the U.S.
INTERPRETERS: a reference for locating local interpreters and for training to be an interpreter.
LEARN SPANISH: a list of informal Spanish conversation groups offered by local organizations and groups.
CJ ALERTS: archive of CJ’s weekly bulletin, the Alert, containing announcements of meetings and events, bilingual job and volunteer opportunities or people seeking them, resources, and other information related to our local Spanish-language community and groups and individuals serving them. [Access to this section is through the Introduction section of the menu.]
ESPANOL: this part of the CJ web site will be in Spanish. Please advise us if you are interested in helping CJ to develop it.
