key day when most work will be done. In the morning from about
9-12 am there will be a workshop on racism as it relates to activists/people
working for social change. There will be a long lunch w/ time

The next
CJ plenary will be on Thursday, June 28, 2007, from
10 – 11:30 am.
Since CJ’s
May 14 Spanish language workshop on immigration, many service
providers have commented that it would be helpful to them to have
information about: documents Clients need to access services in
the community and to access immigration reform; what services
providers should know in case one of their Clients are approached
by Immigration, are deported, or have a family member deported;
where Clients should be referred who require assistance with Immigration
Reform or have deportation problems. Lawyers Eddy Summers, Charlottesville
Immigration Center, Doug Ford and Tim Freilich, Legal Aid Justice
Center, will respond to these issues and be available for questions.
Tim will also provide us a brief update on Immigration Reform
legislation in Congress. If you have questions you’d like
the lawyers to address, please send them to lhemby@albemarle.org
