MAY 14, 2007: KNOW YOUR RIGHTS IMMIGRATION EDUCATION EVENT

On the evening of May 14, from 6 to 8 pm, CJ members – Legal Aid Justice Center, Cville Immigration Law Center, Church of the Incarnation, and Zona Latina – will be providing an immigration education event – in Spanish - to explore deportation issues. It will include a video on immigration, containing an interview with Angela Kelley, Director of the National Immigration Forum, and a question and answer session with bilingual local attorneys. The event will take place in the stone chapel at the Church of the Incarnation (behind Toys R Us). The purpose of the event is to educate Spanish-speaking immigrants and address their fears and concerns around questions of legal issues and deportations. Service providers working with Latinos are encouraged to attend. For an English or Spanish flyer or for more information contact: rhonda@incarnationparish.org
