Executive Committee

Creciendo Juntos – Growing Together has an Executive Committee charged with planning and executing the plenary meetings and other activities related to fundraising, information management, help fair events, research, and organizational work, among others.

Members presently include: Peter Loach and Jo Olson (Piedmont Housing Alliance), Linda Hemby (Albemarle Social Services), Dilcia Colindres (Shelter for Help in Emergencies/SHE), Martha Trujillo (United Way), Tim Freilich (Virginia Legal Aid Justice Center), Blanca Owens (CHIP), and Gloria Rockhold (ESL/Albemarle Public Schools), Yvonne López (Rural Health Outreach Program/RHOP) and Rich Hubbard (Pastor of Word of Faith Church’s Spanish congregation) are also attending these meetings.

Prior members to the Executive Committee include Rhonda Miska (formerly of the Church of the Incarnation), Diane Taylor and Carlos Teran (formerly of Zona Latina TV and Nuevas Raíces newspaper), Ivonne Lopez (Rural Health Outreach Program), Marie Murray (Shelter for Help in Emergencies), and Jon Nafzinger ( United Way).

Peter Loach facilitates the monthly Executive Committee meetings and Plenaries, and is Chair of CJ. In September 2006, Peter was appointed by Gov. Tim Kaine to the Virginia Latino Advisory Board.

Executive Committee meetings are held at Piedmont Housing Alliance, 111 Monticello Avenue, Suite 104 ( Former Ivy Industry Building) at noon on the second Monday of every month.
