Creciendo
Juntos – Growing Together welcomes government, community
and faith based organizations, businesses, and local residents
concerned about the challenges facing the Latino/Hispanic population
in Charlottesville City, Albemarle County and surrounding areas.
Through networking
– sharing information, resources, and contacts – participants
enhance their own work and contribute to an environment where
the local Latino/Hispanic population is understood, valued and
served.
Participation
includes:
Attending
plenary sessions of Creciendo Juntos
Attending
or leading a Creciendo Juntos working group
Organizing,
sponsoring or volunteering for a specific Creciendo Juntos initiative
Partnering
or volunteering with another Creciendo Juntos member on a new
or ongoing initiative targeting the local Latino/Hispanic population
Incorporating
new members into Creciendo Juntos, especially from the business
and political sectors and Latino/Hispanic leaders
Coordinating
the compilation of a community Spanish language interpreter
volunteer list and afterwards, a training for volunteers
Contributing
information to the web page
Using Creciendo
Juntos tools (email list, web page, plenary sessions) to disseminate
announcements and resources relating to the local Latino community
Taking
minutes of Creciendo Juntos plenary sessions

Donations
to Creciendo Juntos can also be made through its founder, Piedmont
Housing Alliance, a private, 501(c)(3) nonprofit
organization established in 1983 to address affordable housing
and other community development needs on a regional basis within
the Thomas Jefferson Planning District. PHA receives support from
a variety of funding sources, including donors who wish to help
our organization do the important work we do, from housing projects
to Creciendo Juntos. PHA receives donor gifts ranging in size
from $25, up to several thousand dollars. Donations are tax deductible
to the extent allowed by law, and checks may be sent to:
