CRECIENDO JUNTOS – GROWING TOGETHER

Get Involved!

Creciendo Juntos – Growing Together welcomes government, community and faith based organizations, businesses, and local residents concerned about the challenges facing the Latino/Hispanic population in Charlottesville City, Albemarle County and surrounding areas.

Through networking – sharing information, resources, and contacts – participants enhance their own work and contribute to an environment where the local Latino/Hispanic population is understood, valued and served.

Participation includes:

Attending plenary sessions of Creciendo Juntos

Attending or leading a Creciendo Juntos working group

Organizing, sponsoring or volunteering for a specific Creciendo Juntos initiative

Partnering or volunteering with another Creciendo Juntos member on a new or ongoing initiative targeting the local Latino/Hispanic population

Incorporating new members into Creciendo Juntos, especially from the business and political sectors and Latino/Hispanic leaders

Coordinating the compilation of a community Spanish language interpreter volunteer list and afterwards, a training for volunteers

Contributing information to the web page

Using Creciendo Juntos tools (email list, web page, plenary sessions) to disseminate announcements and resources relating to the local Latino community

Taking minutes of Creciendo Juntos plenary sessions

Email list maintenance and circulation

Web page maintenance
