About Creciendo Juntos 

HISTORY

Creciendo Juntos means “growing together" and began in 2005 as a community effort to support Latino families living in Charlottesville and Albemarle. We are a leading Latino advocate and provide year round workshops, forums, and resources for Latinos and Latino-serving organizations. We are directed by a volunteer board and partner broadly to help strengthen Latino families' connections within our community.

WHO WE ARE

We are a group of individuals hoping to utilize our privilege as educators, attorneys, community

organizers and artists to make Charlottesville a better place for its Latinx community members.

WHAT WE DO

  • We serve as an information hub for local Latinx community members and the many organizations interested in improving their services to them.

  • We provide access to direct services and community resources through workshops, community meetings and a comprehensive website.

  • We identify and responds to needs of local Latinx residents through a vibrant network of Latinx individuals and Latinx-serving organizations, including CJ's two working groups on Education and Mental Health.
