ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE, BASIC LITERACY, AND GED PREP FOR ADULTS

  • Thomas Jefferson Adult and Career Education: GED Prep and ESOL classes for adults in the Charlottesville region including Albemarle, Fluvanna, Greene, Louisa, and Nelson counties. Costs vary. Scholarships available on a limited basis.

  • English Conversation Circle: A conversation circle to practice speaking English with others at the Northside Library. Free and open to everyone.

COLLEGE AND UNIVERSITY

  • University of Virginia's Latino Student Alliance serves as the representative voice of the Hispanic/Latino community inside and outside the University as well as to strengthen and empower this community to advance socially, politically, culturally, and academically.

SCHOLARSHIPS AND INTERNSHIPS 

  • Dream Summer: Dream Summer is a national internship program of the Dream Resource Center. The US Senate’s failure to pass the DREAM Act in 2010 sparked conversations among immigrant youth leaders on how to effectively sustain the immigrant youth movement, giving birth to Dream Summer, a national internship program.

Our Mission

The mission of Creciendo Juntos is to provide a platform for the voices, needs and wants of the Latinx community in Charlottesville and surrounding counties through education and leadership development. As agents of advocacy and equity, our volunteer network of individuals and organizations strive to strengthen Central Virginia by ensuring that all Latinx individuals have access to the opportunities they need to become resilient leaders in our community.
