LAJC: Bilingual Community Organizer

BILINGUAL COMMUNITY ORGANIZER (Richmond or Charlottesville) LAJC is seeking a bilingual (Spanish-English) community organizer to join our team in Richmond or Charlottesville, Virginia. The community organizer will lead and assist various local and statewide organizing and advocacy campaigns around immigrants’ rights and workers’ rights issues. The organizer will also support litigation efforts in the areas of civil rights, immigration and workers’ rights. The organizer will be expected to exercise a high level of independence in developing organizing strategy and conducting outreach and community education.  Requirements include, but are not limited to: demonstrated experience as an organizer working with immigrant workers; written and oral Spanish-language fluency; willingness to engage in statewide travel in Virginia, including occasional overnight travel.  Click on the position announcement for more information including additional requirements and instructions on how to apply.
