City Schoolyard Garden are excited to announce two new positions open within Cultivate Charlottesville, the umbrella organization which contains City Schoolyard Garden, Urban Agriculture Collective of Charlottesville, and the Charlottesville Food Justice Network.
The Charlottesville Food Justice Network Associate is primarily responsible for advancing food equity in Charlottesville through supporting CFJN partnerships, organizational systems, and community engagement.

Scope of Work: The CFJN Associate is primarily responsible for advancing food equity in Charlottesville through supporting CFJN partnerships, organizational systems, and community engagement. This is an exciting advocacy and organizing position working across multiple partners and building on the Food Equity Initiative work.
Core functions include:
1. Coalition Building and Network Coordination
2. CFJN Communication and Thought Leadership
3. Special Project Implementation and Evaluation
4. Strengthen Organizational Goals And Values
CFJN is a network of around 35 nonprofit organizations working in Charlottesville to build a healthy and just food system.

The Urban Agriculture Collective of Charlottesville Operations Manager’s core function is to bring community together to grow and distribute fresh fruits and vegetables from the UACC gardens and community orchard in order to build food equity in Charlottesville.

Scope of Work: The UACC Operations Manager is primarily responsible for advancing food equity in Charlottesville through engaging community in growing and sharing fresh fruits and vegetables on land near Charlottesville’s public and subsidized housing. This is an opportunity to get into the everyday operations of running an urban farm in a vibrant community.
Core functions include:
1. Urban Farm Planning, Seed Ordering, Crop Rotations
2. Urban Farm Management of day to day farming
3. Outreach & Relationship Building with Partners
4. Special Project Implementation and Evaluation
This position is a year-round, salaried position at 75% FTE (full hours during the growing season).
